Our centre has attained AGPAL accreditation, whilst AGPAL accreditation is voluntary, we have attained this accreditation meaning that all our staff are trustworthy and fully licensed according to national statutory requirements.

Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad Shahzad
Dr Shahzad is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), affirming his status as a provider of high quality, safe and competent general practice services. He is currently a valued member of the Doctors&Co. family, sharing his knowledge, skills and more than 15 years’ general practice experience at the Cranbourne West Medical Centre.
Dr Shahzad started his career in general practice in Pakistan and worked there for a few years after graduating in 2001. He then moved to the United Kingdom in 2007 and completed further training, where he gained experience and competency in specialities such as mental health, children’s health, elderly care, medical emergencies, and women’s health. He moved to Australia in 2015 and was awarded FRACGP status in 2017.
Dr Shahzad is multi-lingual, with fluency in Punjabi and Urdu, which is valuable in communicating with patients in our multicultural community. He is passionate about providing care in the community and using his depth of knowledge to help a wide diversity of patients. He is focusing his skills on managing chronic diseases and conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, obesity, eczema, depression, and anxiety.
Dr Shahzad has a holistic approach to his work, and when not providing exceptional medical care to patients he looks after his own physical, mental and emotional health by spending time with his family and visiting the gym.
Dr Nawaf Al-Obaydi
MBBS , FRACGP
Dr. Nawaf graduated from College of Medicine – Baghdad University in 2005 and completed hospital training in Eastern Health (Box Hill, Maroondah and Angliss Hospital) then the Australian general practice training with the Victorian Metropolitan Alliance in Melbourne. He has obtained the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners fellowship in 2015 and the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners fellowship in 2016.
He has special interests in cardiovascular disease including Hypertension and Diabetes management, Paediatrics, Dermatology including skin cancer, sexual transmitted disease and travel medicine
Dr Nada Hassan
Dr Nada Hassan has been in General Practice for the last 6 years after graduating from the University of Auckland, New Zealand in 2013. She enjoys the problem solving aspect of General Practice and building therapeutic relationships with her patients, their families and the wider community. She is experienced in all aspects of General Practice from prevention, child and adult, general and mental health and keeps her finger on the pulse in regards to emerging evidence and guidelines. Her special interests include Women’s Health, Geriatrics and diagnosis and management of chronic disease.
In her spare time she enjoys travelling, especially trying out new international cuisines.
Burwood Brickworks Medical Centre is a bulk billing practice to patients holding a valid Medicare card. Some services are excluded and an out of pocket expense will apply. Fees will vary depending on the service.
For our patients who are without a valid Medicare card or OSHC/OVC membership, the following fees do apply;
- Standard consultation – $50
- Long consultation – $80
- Pathology testing will incur additional fees which will be advised prior to collection
- Allied health services will be privately billed

- RHCA Medicare cardholders
- Specialist consultations
- Allied health services
- Pre-employment medical assessments
- Driver assessment form
- Medical reports
- Skin cancer checks
- New patients who do not have their Medicare card
The fees will vary depending on the complexity of the service and procedure required.
