Dr Nawaf Al-Obaydi
MBBS, FRACGP
Dr. Nawaf graduated from College of Medicine – Baghdad University in 2005 and completed hospital training in Eastern Health (Box Hill, Maroondah and Angliss Hospital) then the Australian general practice training with the Victorian Metropolitan Alliance in Melbourne. He has obtained the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners fellowship in 2015 and the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners fellowship in 2016.
He has special interests in cardiovascular disease including Hypertension and Diabetes management, Paediatrics, Dermatology including skin cancer, infectious disease, Men’s Health and travel medicine.
Dr Sanghamitra Dhar
General Practitioner, Female, MBBS, FRACGP
Dr. Sanghamitra Dhar, a dedicated medical professional, has been serving communities in Australia since 2012. With over five years of experience in both rural and metropolitan hospital settings.
Dr. Sanghamitra brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her practice. In 2020, they completed their GP fellowship from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and have since been providing compassionate care as a General Practitioner.
Dr. Sanghamitra has a particular focus on women’s health and mental well-being, reflecting their commitment to holistic healthcare. Outside of her medical practice, she finds joy in spending quality time with her family and friends. Dr. Sanghamitra is fluent in English, Hindi, and Bengali, allowing her to effectively communicate with a diverse range of patients and provide culturally sensitive care.
Dr Abdul Basit
General Practitioner, Male, MBBS, FRACGP
Speaks English, Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi.
Dr Abdul Basit graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery and began his journey as a Medical Practitioner in Australia in 2009, and has been working as a GP for 10 years. From working at Royal Hobart Hospital to Lyell McEvin Hospital in Adelaide, and eventually working as a VMO in Rural Victoria (Kyabram & Shepparton), Dr Abdul Basit eventually settled in Victoria, and successfully obtained his Fellowship with the RACGP in 2018.
His passion is Family Medicine and has a special interest in Women’s health, children’s health, Care of the Elderly, chronic disease management including diabetes, hypertension, asthma & emphysema. Dr Abdul Basit also has a particular focus on preventative medicine, lifestyle medicine, health assessments, heart health checks & care plans to help patients manage their chronic conditions more effectively. He thoroughly enjoys having walked in nature!

Dr Duraid Ibraheem
General Practitioner, Male, MB.CH.B, FRACGP
Speaks Arabic and English
Dr. Duraid Ibraheem is a general practitioner with more than 20 years of experience. He attained his fellowship in general practice from RACGP in Jan 2019. His areas of interest are Minor Surgical Procedures Men’s Health Pediatric Health Sexual Health Antenatal Care Chronic Disease Management.
